During a speech on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the illegal immigrants brought by their parents are the “true and legitimate heirs of our founders.” With that logic, you could make the argument that anyone in the world that comes to the United States with absolutely no ancestors in this country is also an heir of the founding fathers. Pelosi is basically making the case that everyone on the planet is entitled to what the ancestors of many American citizens bled and died for.
Pelosi made her claims as the Democrats prepared to vote through an amnesty for at least three million migrants. The amnesty would include many illegals who were brought into the United States as children by their parents.
Here’s what Pelosi said:
“This legislation is protecting “dreamers,” and TPS [Temporary Protected Status] and DED [Deferred Enforced Departure] recipients, honors the truth that immigrants are the constant reinvigoration of our country.
When they come here with their hopes and dreams and aspirations, these parents bringing their children, their hopes and dreams and aspirations for a better future for their children, that courage, that determination, those aspirations, are American traits, and they all make America more American, with all of that.
Indeed, they are true and legitimate heirs, these dreamers are, of our founders. E Pluribus Unum, from many one, we talk about that all the time.”

If only regular Americans were given so much praise an attention, but the 17 million unemployed Americans seem to be further down the priority list.
First, the Democrats need to make sure they get in their new voting demographic; the grown children of illegal migrants.
She then continued:
“They’re our teachers, they’re our professionals. They’re our CEOs. They’re entrepreneurs, they contribute to our community in every way …
Millions of Americans have come together to organize and mobilize for dreamers: Labor leaders, business community, faith organizations, national security officials, law enforcement, more and more. …
The true VIPs of the moment, are the dreamers and immigrants who have spoken out with great dignity and eloquence, refusing to be forced back into the shadow.”
The speech echoes the basic leftist view that The United States of America is not the homeland of those men and women who came here centuries ago to build up a nation from scratch, but a nation of immigrants where everyone is entitled to the fruit of the labor of the ancestors of many Americans. Many of these ancestors were farmers from England, Germany, and other European countries who came here to build the nation, expecting nothing given to them by the government.
The leftist and progressive idea is that this nation is open to anyone and everyone of any culture, religion, or background, regardless of what Americans who have been here for generations prefer. Why? In part because the constant influx of low-skilled migrants lowers the wage and they become cheap labor for big corporations. For democrats, the economic interests are powerful, but so are the likely new voters; despite what these voters might do to the political and social American landscape long-term.
Despite years of propaganda and progressive rhetoric about the benefits of receiving millions of illegal migrants, a wide variety of pollsters continue to show a broad opposition from Americans to immigration in general, as majority wants companies to offer employment opportunities to American citizens, over migrants.
Breitbart correctly points out the following:
“The deep public opposition is built on the widespread recognition that migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.”
Despite that, Pelosi (and many Democrats) continue to ignore many Americans as she remarked that the (illegal) migrants “strengthen, enrich, and ennoble our nation, and they must be allowed to stay.”
