On opening day of the 2021 Major League Baseball season, it is already clear that it is no longer permissible for Americans to just enjoy watching the games. At least, not without being subjected to the radical left politics that have thoroughly ruined professional sports.
Democrats and their activist allies are determined to force Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to reverse the state’s new election integrity law that addresses many of the abuses of the 2020 fiasco. They are also putting pressure on players and MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred to move the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, where it is currently scheduled to be played this summer.
On Wednesday, the extortion scheme got a major boost when Joe Biden himself came out in favor of relocating the 91st edition of the star-studded contest. The retaliation against Kemp and the state legislature comes over new rules that put into place safeguards, including the need to show identification to vote. In other words, their restoration of voter confidence in free and fair elections.
In an interview with “woke” sports network ESPN, Biden threw his backing behind the bullies by saying that he would “strongly support” stealing the All-Star Game from Atlanta.

During the pre-opening day interview that aired on ESPN’s “Sportscenter” host Sage Steele asked Biden; “Mr. President, what do you think about the possibility that baseball decides to move their All-Star Game out of Atlanta because of this political issue?”
The nation’s 46th president responded; “I think today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly. I would strongly support them doing that. People look to them. They’re leaders. Look at what’s happened with the NBA as well. Look at what’s happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports. And it’s just not right.”
“This is Jim Crow on steroids“, added Biden, again hammering the talking point without mentioning the critical fact that the racist Jim Crow laws were the product of segregationist Democrats, two of whom held in high regard.
Biden’s praise of the NBA comes despite the collapse in ratings after the league turned last summer’s playoffs into a celebration of the divisive Black Lives Matter movement. Fans rejected the in-your-face activism of superstar LeBron James who is now the mouth of the league. A stark turn from when the once-great NBA enjoyed enormous popularity, back in the days when Michael Jordan wisely chose not to alienate fans by embracing politics.
The idea to hold the All-Star Game hostage has the backing of Tony Clark, the Executive Director of the MLB Player’s Association.
New from @MikeSilvermanBB: Tony Clark says the MLBPA is ready to discuss moving the 2021 All-Star Game from Georgia in the wake of new voter-restriction legislation that some believe will make it difficult for Black voters to reach the polls. https://t.co/WL7yBiiJPb

According to Clark, whose remarks were reported by the Boston Globe, the league’s players are “very much aware” of the new law. He continued, “as it relates to the All-Star Game, we have not had a conversation with the league on that issue”, and that, “if there is an opportunity to, we would look forward to having that conversation”.
In addition to the pressure of forcing the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, activists are also demanding that The Master’s golf tournament be moved out of scenic Augusta (the place where it has been held since 1934).
Now that Biden has officially chimed in, it looks like America has a new pastime. And it sure isn’t baseball.
