Patriotic US gold winning Olympic wrestler Tamyra Mensah-Stock went viral last week after she gushed about her love for America after winning golf at the Olympics.

Gold medalists at the Olympics receive $37,500, which is paid out by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Being the stand-up athlete that she is, Mensah-Stock is giving all the money to her mom.

“She’s always doing back-breaking work and … I’ve just seen her struggling ever since my dad died and I don’t like seeing it,” the wrestler told PEOPLE magazine on Friday.

“I made a promise to her and she loves cooking,” Mensah-Stock said. “It’s just one of her passions. Growing up, we’d be like, ‘Ooh, mommy, you put your back into this food. Like you literally put your foot in it.’ ”

Mensah-Stock remembered how her mother used to use a portable grill to sell food when the wrestler was a little girl which was, according to Mensah-Stock, “not exactly the best legal method.”

“So how about I buy you a food truck and you can be anywhere you want to be?” Mensah-Stock said she told her mother. “[My mom] was ecstatic. She’s like, ‘Yes, I would love that.’ This is five years ago. And I just keep telling her, ‘Just hold off, mommy, please just hold off.’”

Mensah-Stock can now make her mom’s “dream come true.”

“It is going to be pleasant. It’s going to be legal. It’s going to be fun,” she added.

The name for the truck will be “The Lady Bug.”

After winning gold last week, Mensah-Stock united America when she gave an emotional speech, thanking God and America for her big win. This has been a rare site in recent years considering athletes seem to love bashing American on the world stage.

“I surprised myself! It’s by the grace of God I’m able even to move my feet,” Mensah-Stock said following the championship match. “I just leave it in his hands. And I pray that all the practice, the hell that my freaking coaches put me through, pays off. And every single time it does. And I get better and better. And it’s so weird that there’s no cap to the limit I can do. And I’m excited to see what I have next.”

When asked by a reporter how it felt to represent America, Mensah-Stock said it was “amazing.”

“I love representing the U.S. I freaking love living there,” she said. “I love it. And I’m so happy I get to represent USA!”
